Project Time
Today we discussed the project that I want you to complete. The project will involve you choosing a notorious offender...somebody who has committed a serious crime. Your goal will be to do some serious research on this individual. Use the criteria sheet as a guide. Once your research on the background/history of the crime is complete you should move onto step two. In this phase of the project you will try to create a psychological profile of your subject. You must come up with reasons why the crimes were committed. Give Psychological/Sociological/Biological factors in your explanation. Also, you must relate your explanation to a major theory of crime that we have discussed so far this year. Look at your notes to help.
The final part of the project is to design a treatment plan for your subject. Look at your theory of crime to find out how best help your subject.
You will have 3-4 classes in the computer lab to complete this project. As always presentations will follow.
